Single crystal active element KPbCL5: DyCL3 for the conversion of laser radiation

It is intended for 1.31 micron light wave optical amplifiers in telecommunication fiber-optic networks.

Advantage:

  • quantum yield of light radiation being close to 100 %
  • restoring light signal level up to initial value irrespective of the signal propagation path
  • 100 1000 fold light signal amplification
  • continuous and wide spectrum of radiation/amplification, centered at the required wavelength of 1.31 micron
